Description
Midnight Sun is a delicious, large, bi-colour pink and yellow, slicing tomato. Meaty (think the texture of a mango) with few seeds. Smooth, rich and tangy. Potato leaf, vining plant (great airflow for humid growing conditions). The most beautiful of the True North series. 2nd for taste to Taiga, but some days I prefer Midnight Sun.
Midnight Sun is part of Karen Olivier’s True North Series which includes: Beefsteak: Polaris Indeterminate Tomato Seeds, Taiga Indeterminate Slicing Tomato Seeds, Chinook Indeterminate Tomato Seeds, Tundra Indeterminate Tomato Seeds and True Colours Indeterminate Tomato Seeds. Midnight Sun is the most beautiful, 2nd for taste. Taiga is first for taste. True Colours is the highest yielding. Chinook and Tundra have great texture. All Oxhearts, other than Polaris.
I grow Midnight Sun in the field and it did well despite the humid, cool growing conditions here in Nova Scotia.
