“Potato leaf purple beefsteak with fantastic rich tangy-sweet flavour, this is Polaris, “the North Star” developed in Canada” – Karen Olivier
Polaris is part of Karen Olivier’s True North Series which includes: Midnight Sun Indeterminate Slicing Tomato Seeds, Taiga Indeterminate Slicing Tomato Seeds, Chinook Indeterminate Tomato Seeds, Tundra Indeterminate Tomato Seeds and True Colours Indeterminate Tomato Seeds. Midnight Sun is the most beautiful, 2nd for taste. Taiga is first for taste. True Colours is the highest yielding. Chinook and Tundra have such great texture. All are Oxhearts ,other than Polaris.
I grew Polaris in the field and it did really well despite the humid, cool growing conditions here in Nova Scotia. Cowboy is still my preferred variety for flavour, and One Trick Pony is the earliest and best yielding. If you struggle with disease pressure, try Polaris.
